Therapeutic Family Foster Care (TFFC) provides intensive support to children in care with serious emotional, behavioral or medical needs. The program is designed to provide safe and nurturing care to children in a more structured home environment where the foster family receives additional support and service to create positive outcomes for these children with specialized needs. Therapeutic foster parents are trained to be trauma-informed and receive other specialized training to provide a healing environment for the children in their care. Abbott House provides therapeutic family foster care in the Lower Hudson Valley.
