2014 The Dignity of Family Life Award Dinner

Abbott House wishes to thank all of our supporters who helped make this year’s The Dignity of Family Life Award Dinner a resounding success! This signature fundraiser collected more than $100,000 for the services and programs offered by Abbott House. We also wish to congratulate our Friend of Abbott House Award Recipients Christa Puccio of Atlantic Tomorrow’s Office and Alan Wilensky of USI Northeast.

We also extend our warmest congratulations to Adam and Violet Graves and Family as they graciously accepted The Dignity of Family Life Award.  The Dignity of Family Life Award is presented to individuals who personify the values and commitment necessary to preserve the dignity of family life. The Dignity of Family Life Award has been created in remembrance of the occasion of the very first Abbott House fund-raising dinner when the honoree, Nobel Laureate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., delivered a speech he titled “The Dignity of Family Life: an Address at Abbott House, Westchester County, NY October, 29, 1965. In it, Dr. King noted that Abbott House is “serving humanity in a most constructive way.”
